There has been another major power cut. This time, it has affected Reutlingen in Baden-Württemberg. The power supply in large parts of Reutlingen was cut off for several hours during the night. As there are indications of arson, the police are investigating on suspicion of sabotage. The damage is estimated to run into several million euros. And already people are wondering again who might be responsible.

It has emerged from the AfD that one of its members was in Russia and saw no problem with having his photograph taken with people there who openly wear the Z pin, thereby clearly showing their tolerance of Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine, in which numerous buildings have already been destroyed, and, of course, for which Putin is already responsible for thousands of deaths. It is astonishing how many voters across large parts of Germany are persuaded by this party to vote for the AfD, which quite openly tolerates and even promotes National Socialist ideology.

Greenpeace organised a campaign in Germany to highlight the fact that speed limits on motorways are important not only for the environment but also for road safety, and sought to make a statement by erecting 100 km/h speed limit signs on 26 sections of motorway.

We hope you have a good start to the new working week.
