We are inexorably heading towards winter. Not only have we switched to standard CET, the winter time, but the days are getting noticeably shorter, and it’s becoming more damp and gradually cooler here.

Things are certainly set to get not just chilly, but really cold for the Ukrainians. There, Russia continues to attack the energy sector with no regard for the lives and safety of the civilian population, leaving people to freeze in winter. And Mr Trump in the US is still kissing up to Putin.

Whilst the mid-term election campaign continues in the US, Trump is grumbling about Norway. He finds it completely incomprehensible that he did not receive the Nobel Peace Prize. In his view, only he alone deserved the prize – or perhaps Putin or Netanyahu as well. So all he can do is grumble about Norway. Let’s see whether voters in the US have woken up and will punish the Republicans at the ballot box.

We wish you a pleasant start to the new working week.
