NRW has voted 

and the AfD may have gained a lot of votes, but the feared right-wing march failed to materialise.  

You can hear from the CDU that they are relieved and do not want to work with the AfD. Perhaps that is a mistake. They were elected and if you don't talk to them, you can't disenchant them.  

Now they just stand on the sidelines and can berate the ruling parties without taking responsibility themselves. Or even present themselves as victims because the democratic parties won't talk to them. 

There is something very positive to report from the world of sport: the German basketball team won the European Championship title. Despite injury worries, they won the title in a thrilling match thanks to outstanding individual performances and a strong team performance.  

Congratulations on winning the European Championship title and we wish you a pleasant start to the new working week.
