As the working week draws to a close, and on a long weekend with good weather forecast, traffic jams on the motorways are just what you need.

The news from the USA is becoming increasingly confusing, with Trump announcing in a post on his network that he is sending additional soldiers to Poland. Poland of course promptly thanks him for the measure. The only strange thing is that only a week before, high-ranking US military representatives had cancelled this. Perhaps Donald senses a business opportunity for himself and that is more important to him than the gossip of his staff.

Speaking of employees, there were probably also disagreements in the US Senate. A compensation fund was to be set up for convicted criminals who fuelled and carried out the storming of the Capitol. This was probably too much for some of Donald's Republican colleagues. They have said they will vote against this bill, which would cost the US 72 billion dollars. As the situation is probably opaque, the vote has not yet been held as a precaution. Let's see what happens next. Perhaps there are still some sensible people in government in the USA after all.
