Autumn has arrived in the Lower Rhine region. After a long, dry summer, it has been raining over the last few days. It almost felt as though summer would never end, and now it already feels as if the bad weather has gone on for ages. But be careful – appearances can be deceiving. Statistically speaking, the summer of 2026 was also quite hot. The temperature was 3.2 degrees above the statistical average.

Now that it has been recognised – as many had already suspected – that Russia bears responsibility for the failed attack on Leipzig Airport, there have been a surprisingly large number of incidents of damage to the energy infrastructure in Germany.

It certainly gives one the feeling that Russia is escalating its military operations   

It was reported in the media that Antonio Rüdiger has announced his retirement from the German national football team. Klopp is joining, and Rüdiger, who was highly regarded within the squad, is leaving. He intends to continue his career at Real Madrid.
