While we can enjoy the pleasant weather, the war in Ukraine continues. Despite Donald Trump's grandiloquently announced phone call, Putin continues to drop bombs.

And things are no better in Gaza, where Israel and Hamas are facing each other and there is no sign of a quick solution, and Hamas is still holding kidnapped Israelis captive, while Israel has started attacking again.

Our current Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock from the Green Party is rumoured to have a new job, at least she was being considered for the presidency of the UN General Assembly.

We have learned from the business world that the car manufacturer Audi has launched a cost-cutting programme and plans to cut 7,500 jobs by the end of 2029. This is a major cut for employees. The manufacturer and the trade union are said to have already reached an agreement.

The move is important for Audi in order to remain profitable and to preserve the jobs that will still exist.
