There they are, rising up like the Gauls of old to fight against the seemingly invincible, all-powerful, FIFA Peace Prize-inventing President – that greedy, money-hungry boss.

He wanted to continue working with his American investor friends – who, of course, have connections right up to the White House – to commercialise football; and naturally, everyone was to benefit from this, but first and foremost, of course, the investors and family members of, well, you know who. But now the many small cogs in the system – all of whom are, of course, essential to a World Cup – are speaking out and harbouring doubts about the megalomaniacs’ idea. It is the European Football Association, led by a Slovenian who is fighting for the interests of the players. And within a reported 48 hours, he manages to get all UEFA members on the same page and to oppose the new World Cup investors’ plans.

It’ll be interesting to see how the power struggle over the big money plays out. Oh yes, and there’s the football to watch as well. We hope everyone enjoys it, especially the children and amateur players.
