we can learn that the German automotive companies continue to have major problems with the various situations around the world. In the USA, it is Trump's tariffs that are gnawing away at margins and in some cases massively reducing earnings. Added to this is the increasingly strong competition from China, which is certainly being supported by the Chinese government. Mercedes-Benz, for example, reported a decline in operating profit of around 50 % for the second quarter. And Porsche is not expecting an improvement until 2027.

And then, of course, you also notice this in the other sectors, so you also hear a warning from BASF about slowing economic growth.

Could we still be surprised? That Donald Trump would accidentally appoint his former private lawyer as a federal judge, which is a lifetime appointment in the USA. And so he once again has a loyal man he can rely on when it comes to going to court again.
