Wow, did that

yesterday just before the long weekend. In the USA, where our chancellor cut quite a good figure during his inaugural visit to Donald Trump, everything is currently centred around the Trump / Musk feud. People are throwing mud at each other via the public media, the world is marvelling and waiting to see what happens next.

Meanwhile, the fighting continues in Ukraine, with the warring parties, who Trump compares to quarrelling children, escalating the conflict further, with Putin's Russian forces allegedly continuing to bomb civilian buildings without regard. But the Ukrainians have also allegedly attacked Russian military airfields with numerous drones.

And then there was another football spectacle. In yesterday's Nations League second semi-final, Spain and France played out a top-class duel, which Spain won 5:4 to advance to the final against Portugal. For the German team led by coach Julian Nagelsmann, third place will be up for grabs against France on Sunday.
