We are finally getting the news we have been waiting for for a long time: the German economy is slowly picking up again. At least there are the first signs that Germany's economic performance is slowly picking up again.

Erdogan is cracking down on protests in Turkey over the arrest of his main rival Imamoglu in the next presidential election. According to activists, ten journalists were arrested early this morning. This is an unmistakable sign that peaceful protest is being suppressed. According to the German government's spokesperson, Imamoglu's arrest is a setback for Germany's good relations with Turkey.

Today marks the anniversary of the suicide of the Germanwings pilot in 2015, in which he took 149 innocent people to their deaths. An incident that has changed the safety regulations in air travel enormously.
