Now also

Our Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and his wife travelled to England for a state visit to King Charles III. They were received at Heathrow Airport and travelled from there to Windsor, where they covered the last few metres by carriage with the King and Queen. There they were received with military honours. Further appointments are planned in the UK, including a visit to Prime Minister Keir Starmer and a wreath-laying ceremony for the late Queen Elizabeth II and the award of an honorary doctorate for him by Oxford University.

With President Trump, things look very different, well, he is also in government. But whether this justifies threatening to launch air strikes in Colombia as well as Venezuela after the US air strikes in the Caribbean is highly questionable. It looks very much like the Wild West.

And then we discovered something in the media in the run-up to Christmas. There was an eco-test with nasty surprises. In addition to the expected ingredients such as spices and nuts, gingerbread was also found to contain problematic substances that should not be there. There were also problems with candles. A wide variety of product groups were tested, from the cheapest at 4 cents to the most expensive at €1.11. The cheap ones from discounters and own brands were good. There were disappointments with the exclusive beeswax candles. In general, however, burning candles is of course not good for the indoor climate. If you have any concerns, you may want to consider electric alternatives.

We wish you a pleasant rest of the working week.

Yours www.bululu.de Team
