And then there's the news about the Paris 2024 Olympics: what was supposed to be a great sporting event turned out to be a gigantic financial disaster. According to the French Court of Auditors, the costs are said to have ended up at six billion euros instead of the initially estimated three billion. That would take a granny a long time to knit.
