Nine days until

Christmas Eve and you haven't got all your presents together yet? Then it's about time.

While we are thinking about presents, Australia is in shock. There, on Bondi Beach in Sydney, the assassination attempt was carried out by a father and his son. Initially there was talk of another perpetrator, but it is now thought to have been just these two. There are said to be 16 fatalities, including a 10-year-old girl and a Holocaust survivor who had emigrated to Australia. Australia will now have to come to terms with the attack, with questions about the security precautions and what needs to be improved.

And what about us: Ukrainian President Zelensky met with US representatives Witkoff and Kushner in Berlin to discuss a ceasefire in Ukraine. The talks are said to have lasted five hours and great progress was made. Let's see if Putin sees it the same way.

After FC Schalke 04 were crowned autumn champions of the 2nd Bundesliga on Sunday with a 1:0 win against 1. FC Nürnberg, many are once again dreaming of promotion to the 1st division. We remain curious and will keep an eye on what happens next.
