and in the USA, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer visited Donald Trump yesterday. He was warmly received and was reportedly told that the USA would abide by the NATO mutual assistance agreement under Article 5. There was also talk of a ceasefire for Ukraine, which sounds cynical as Putin continues to drop bombs on Ukraine.

In the USA, the mass redundancies ordered by Elon Musk have been at least partially halted for the time being by a court in California. The Supreme Court must now decide on the matter.

After the elections in Germany, Friedrich Merz of the CDU wants to start talks with the SPD quickly, so let's see what hurdles will be put up. Mrs Esken from the SPD has already said in the media that she would be annoying, so one can only hope that she remembers how high the SPD's losses were and that the citizens expect a quick agreement, which would also be an advantage in order not to drive even more voters towards the AfD.
