A Friday morning in the
Fog, at least on the Lower Rhine it looks pretty cloudy. There is positive news from the so-called Gaza war. At least Netanyahu's office is reporting that an agreement on a ceasefire was reached during the night. Already celebrated in public, one can now hope for the people affected that this will also fulfil what it promises on paper.
Joe Biden is on a farewell tour from his office as President of the USA. During his visit to the Pentagon, he spoke to members of the US military and reminded them of the oath you swore at the beginning of your careers.
Mr Putin continues to blithely clear his critics out of the way in Russia. It has now been reported in the media that the lawyers who defended Mr Navalny in Russia have been sentenced to several years in prison.
And now the head of Vattenfall is also speaking out about Mrs Weidel's confused statements on the subject of wind energy. Mrs Weidel called the wind turbines "windmills of shame" at the AfD party conference and wants to have them torn down. It would be interesting to know what alternatives she sees for the energy supply and whether she is perhaps on Putin's payroll so that Germany burns more gas again. The head of Vattenfall suggests that Mrs Weidel should take some lessons on wind energy, as almost a third of energy will come from wind turbines by 2024.
We too would rather have wind turbines in our neighbourhood than a lignite-fired power plant or even a nuclear power plant.
We wish you a good weekend and please remember in the next elections that just because a right-winger says Hitler was a left-winger doesn't make it true.
Yours www.bululu.de Team
