And Donald Trump continues to happily spout lies, this time he even praises Germany and says that the Germans are doing it right and burning a lot of coal, that we are bringing a new coal-fired power plant online every week. He wants the same for the USA, but unfortunately he overlooks the fact that we don't want to burn more coal, we want to burn less and soon phase out coal altogether, as it is one of the most climate-damaging forms of electricity generation. For your information, the last German coal-fired power station went into operation five years ago.

Things are set to continue politically here, with the coalition negotiations between the CDU/CSU and SPD said to be in the final stages.

And what does the weather do, it's too warm, too dry and Trump refuses to see that and wants to keep burning coal.

So we sit here and can only shake our heads in amazement that the AfD is still cheering for Trump and that quite a few AfD functionaries still approve of Trump's customs policy.
