It is cloudy

on the Lower Rhine, the sun doesn't seem to want to show itself at the current 14 °C. It also looks gloomy around the world. Putin is celebrating his birthday while at the same time bombing Ukraine and continuing to sacrifice his soldiers on the front line for his dream of a Greater Russian Empire.

The Israelis continue to attack Gaza, the ceasefire initiated by US President Trump has not yet come into force and the remaining Israeli hostages have not yet been released. Both sides want to continue negotiations.

And what happens in the USA. Trump escalates further there and sends the National Guard to Chicago. Which is just adding fuel to the fire, but that's what Trump wants. Because that way he can put political opponents under pressure and position himself as a saviour.

The men's international football matches are back on Friday. Germany play host to Luxembourg and are under pressure to win if they want to remain in contention for qualification.
